A very real problem: Addicition..

I want to take a moment and talk to everyone about a very real problem in America, and that is drug/alcohol addiction.

This is an especially senstive subject for me as I have had both my mom, and brother addicted to various forms of drugs. A lot of people dont know what kind of toll it takes on both your family, and interpersonal agendas. Seeing a family memeber go through so many highs, and then so many lows really makes you see them in a different light.

I would like to also take a minute and tell you the one place we could really count on for help. Alcohol rehabilitation center was a saving grace for my family and it can be for yours too.

These upscale, state of the art facilities are so wonderful that you forget at times its a rehab center and not a spa getaway. Malibu Cliffside treats every patient with a treatment that they think will fit and be most likely to keep them sober. They also offer family counseling sessions, which although scary at first, is a great program to tell your loved ones just exactly how they are hurting you, and hurting themselves.

One of the cool things that they also offer is extracurricular activities, while my brother was there he took up surfing! I believe they also offer yoga, and horseback riding. This was especially helpful to keep their minds off of the addiction and focus on getting clean and staying clean.

All in all Cliffside Malibu is the place you should consider whether its the first time they are going to rehab, or if they have been in and out of rehab. They will help you, just like they helped my family.
